RS 5th grade students use rubrics this morning to assess their roller coasters. Each student built a roller coaster to explore potential and kinetic energy.

A big thank you to Rural Community Alliance for sponsoring Rural Special’s 4-6th grade trip to UCA to see the play Walk On. The play showcased events from the life of Rosa Parks. This was a great opportunity to begin Black History month studies.
RS- Tonight we will be honoring our Senior Class of 2020 during the ballgames against Shirley. The presentation will be after the Sr. Girls play and before the Sr. Boys play. Come out and support the Rural Special Class of 2020! #RSRebels
Those of us at Rural Special would like to send our sincerest love and appreciation for all the thoughts and prayers. This week we began a week of healing by remembering Briley with posters, cards, and just sharing smiles and tears. Thank you to the Timbo Tigers last night for showing up at the basketball game with their Briley t-shirts. We live in an amazing area with many caring schools and people. Your love and prayers have definitely been felt.
The community and school will be hosting a fundraiser for the Morgan Family at the Tuesday Night game against Timbo. All Concession money, auction proceeds, and donations will go to them. Drop donations off for the auction at Rural Special School or bring them to the ball game. Time of auction will be announced later.
There is also an account set up at First Service Bank for the Morgan Family.

Rural Special Junior High Quiz Bowl team advances to the state tournament! We played some tough teams with both us and the other team running perfect lightning rounds! Echo Mitchell made the all tournament team. Exciting! Way to play as a team!
Super proud of our Rural Special students! Accelerated reader, citizenship, and grade awards were handed out today. 🤗 We had a great assembly and even talked about friendship, working together as a team, and the importance of never giving up! Had some great videos that kids loved. Thanks for sharing your kiddos with us. 🥰
